VAMPIRE FACIAL

TREATMENT OVERVIEW

Plasma is a component found in your blood that contains proteins, that support cell growth. The PRP facial is a treatment that isolates the plasma from the blood and then concentrates it. Our doctors extract a small amount of blood which is then placed into our centrifuge which separates the PRP from the blood.

Injecting the PRP into the tissues of the skin, triggers your body to produce new, healthy cells and promotes healing. As the tissue growth factors are concentrated in the PRP injections, it stimulates our body’s tissues to heal faster.

The restorative properties of PRP for the skin are a great solution if you suffer from the following concerns:

  • Skin elasticity and volume loss

  • Crows feet and dark under-eye circles

  • Acne scarring

  • Dull skin complexion

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

PRP therapy is mostly used around the face, especially around the eyes, nose, and mouth. However, it can also be used on the backs of the hands and over the body, as well as the décolletage to present a youthful and more radiant appearance.

The PRP Facial is an effective treatment for under-eye area as it increases blood vessel growth and strengths collagen promoting a refreshed and youthful appearance.

New blood vessels in the under-eye area allow nutrients and oxygen into the skin, resulting in a decrease in puffiness and loose undereye skin is tightened.

For PRP Facial Treatment we recommend a course of 3 treatments, one month apart. A top-up is then offered 6-12 months after to upkeep desired results.

  • Tightens under-eye skin
  • Decreases puffiness
  • Reduces the appearance of darkened and hollow under eyes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You will start off with a consultation with Dr Farah who will listen to your concerns and ensure your suitability for the PRP treatment- including highlighting any contradictions during the medical history evaluation.

Next, a small sample of blood is taken and is then placed into our centrifuge which will separate the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) from the blood.

A sterile syringe is then used to collect the PRP ready for treatment.

The plasma is then re-injected back into the client’s skin, which has previously been cleansed numbed using a topical anaesthetic cream.

The whole procedure is very straightforward as it only involves small amounts of needle injections to the concerned area. This ensures minimal downtime and reduces any side effects to a minimum.

We offer a course of 3 (one session every 4 weeks) for both PRP Hair Treatment and PRP Facial Rejuvenation. This ensures maximum results and will need to be topped up 6-12 monthly for the upkeep of desired results.

As with many of our aesthetic procedures, the most suitable candidates are women who are not pregnant, breastfeeding or aiming to conceive. This treatment is also not recommended for people who suffer from autoimmune conditions or are currently undergoing anticoagulation treatments, or who have contracted any type of cancer, have severe anaemia, low platelet count, abnormal platelet function, and active systemic infection may not be eligible.

Any contradictions for PRP treatment will be reviewed within your consultation with Dr Farah personally.
